Baldur’s Gate 3 opened a door to a type of game I’ve been wanting to get into ever since I failed to make progress in Icewind Dale II as a kid, and Val's Christmas gift is the perfect totem to crown it as my favourite game of the year. The amount of RPGs I want to play now is definitely not a lake, but an ocean.
